Is there a scratch remover that will work on VOS finish?

I purchased a used guitar and there are some nasty scratches in the area between the pickups. It's not a big deal but if I can somehow remove/lighten them, I'd like to. The guitar has VOS finish so not sure if I can do it without removing the VOS. Thoughts?

Nice! Pictures please...

Depends on how deep the scratches are. Light scratches can be wet sanded and buffed out, but obviously that would end up polishing out the finish. Deep scratches can be drop-filled, sanded, and buffed out, but again, you’d end up with a glossier finish in that area.

We’d have to see pictures to further access.

I’d be willing to bet you that you’d really have to know what you’re doing with finish work to not make it look worse than it already does.

You can polish them out or certainly reduce the visibility with cutting polish and carful hand buffing. You could even wet sand them with 2000 grit first by I would see what the polish does first.

I have some stuff made my Jescar that I have used to buff out light scratches. I haven't tried it on something with as many scratches as on yours. I am sure it would probably make it look at least a bit better. I bought the stuff on Amazon. I can't remember exactly what they called it but the description of it said it could be used to buff out scratches and it is made by Jescar.

Found 3 Jescar products. Was it one of these?

I have the last one in your links list. That is the one I bought. The others you listed are more aggressive than the one I have. You may want one a little bit more aggressive for the scratches you have. Just go slow and apply even pressure with all of your fingers laying flat on the polishing cloth so you don't create some areas of harder pressure. That will make those areas cut faster.
