"Not THIS guy again
"
Yup. Me again. I'm floating around a few different forums just absolutely BOTHERING people with stupid questions.
I've been playing the guitar for almost 25 years which is annoying to say because that was plenty of time to become a good guitar player, so I will settle for "an ok guitar player".
Here's what I plan for my rig to look like this year. Currently it's essentially this but with a single MESA Rectifier Standard (oversized) 4x12.
I play and listen to a wide variety of music but at the moment I'm really into J-Pop, and in terms of guitar tones I always go back to that Petrucci TriAxis / IIC+ tone, but - going back to J-Pop - I am really digging Masahiro Ando (T-Square) and his guitar tones. The classic super-compressed snappy clean tone of the late 80's that everyone loves. Both the Petrucci tone and the snappy clean are tones that I've managed to pretty much nail with the Axe-Fx.
I also have a 5150 and a Soldano X88-IR but I don't really dig either of them so they'll probably be eaten up by the 'giant stereo rig fund'.
See ya round!
