Incoming new cab day!

oh yeah... i found one of these mojotone 212 slant cabs on craigslist in amazing condition! made an offer to buy it empty and to my surprise, the gent said 'no prob!'. it had celestion neos in it and dont really need em.

so im headed down the road to pick it up this morning and figure im gonna load it with my emi dp12a in the bottom with a fane f70 on top and my little reeves or fender heads parked on top for an all purpose banger when i need bigger than a 112 or a slave cab for my mark ii!

$250!

right? this guy has been playing a long time and hes thinning the herd of his live rigs cause he said he 'retired from it'. when i said i already have heaps of speakers in the basement i dont use, he musta laughed and totally got it.

im absolutely with a less than half price plywood cab in a cool configuration thatll let me throw it around

Nah, I just bought another guitar!

I do know a guy that works at PRS, whom I'm sure can recommend someone to do it, when I get around to it.

alrighty- loaded! evm in the top, dp12a in the bottom. this is just provisional for now to try it for a bit- not sure what'll work best. this sounds pretty good but super different to a craptastic marshall (its not a 1960). volume is smaller so a little less bass, but clarity is a completely different ball o wax. and man with a slant do i need to dial treble back

OH... and dig this.. we got to talking, we're both tele players and i told him about my love of p90s so he says ' hey- ive got this tele p90 bridge im getting rod of- you wanna buy it?' im like... how much? $25. of COURSE....

so braun has a p90 incoming. it looks like a tele bridge, but with adjustable poles! cant wait. what a crazy mission!

i love the f70 and the one i have is currently loaded in my mark ii combo!

the reason i wanted to run one in this cab is cause the top end is really good in a closed box- moreso than the evm- and it matches really well with the emi. i used that pair in half of a 412, and dug ot alot, i just didnt want to transport it this i can do better.

I have a greenback + gold loaded Mojotone 4x10, and I love it. Its superb build quality and exceptional looks almost match how great it sounds.

i think it was one of the first ones that they issued that people treated like it when EV stopped selling the evm- but its a PA driver. its darker by a pretty long shot- but its got this beautiful heft to it that i like, and figured a smaller cab could use the extra meat!

haha- thats awesome- im definitely feeling similar! having never had a tilt top cab.. its amazing how much better i can hear.

I’ve got 4 F70’s in an Orange 412 PPC. Rediculous sounding . Took that cab to another level. I’ve had F70’s in other cabs with great results. However once in a while a happy accident happens and you find the Mojo.

I got a pair of Mojo’s Imperial 112’s and loaded them with Heritage 65’s for my SC800. These lil boxes sound great! Mojo makes nice cabs. Mine are really vocal.
