I'm finding lifting weights has strengthened my hands and fingers to play lead better

I'm finding my playing of G 'N R Novembe Rain (Something I'm new too lead guitar, even though I've played U2 most of my life), has improved with weight training.

It's as if my fingers are not only better and more efficient at string bending but the notes are also echoed clearer.

I also find my playing of U2 has improved ever since my fingers have become stronger.

My legs, back, and shoulders are also stronger and capable of maintaining better posture sitting and standing for longer periods of time without pain.

Whoever, says working out with weights doesn't improve guitar playing is lying to you.

At the top of the world all guitarists are known for resistance training and cardio as supplementation to theory and technique.

Don’t have to convince me:

Fret hight has more impact on how difficult the physical part of playing is than weights will ever make. A properly set up guitar with a fret hight of 6105/ 6100 frets is what you really need.

Yeah, because fret height has what to do exactly with your picking hand?

Strength training is great for a person's overall metabolic health, and anything that improves a person's health is apt to reflect positively in any endeavor they pursue. No opinion on whether there's a specific direct link between strength training and guitar playing (lugging around larger amps aside, lol). But when I got to a point in life I had to overhaul my lifestyle (nutrition and activity) for health reasons, my growth as a player accelerated. Given my age that came as quite a shock. I thought I'd permanently plateaued long ago.
