Hahahahhahha well there's one thing I can say I have in common with EVH.

They’re pretty simple, but I know he was having issues with the velocities as I’d imagine the material surrounding the actual trigger plays a huge part in how the trigger detects a hit.

I bet it was quite a show!! I love the way he plays simple stuff....so simple it's difficult, especially with his timing.
