If you get to look over the Strandberg it’s not risky.
These aren’t quite as expensive relatively as they were. They start to look like a better deal. Unless you wait for something to turn up second hand.

I'd have my SW guy actually look at the specific serial, and pick that way. I've known him for 10+ years, before he even worked at Sweetwater, so I trust him.

Strandbergs are pretty tricky to try in person it seems... even in a bigger city. There's no where to try one in person in the whole of Colorado unless you happen upon a used one somewhere

Chicago GC’s have them. The one had like four different types, which is cool. Unfortunately they’ve got them locked down, so you have to find a somewhat imaginary employee.

I stumbled onto another used Strandberg in the wild a couple weeks ago, and just like the other two I played, the notes rang out so clear and perfect and it played really well. Honestly I may need to try and find one.

If I traveled more than once every couple years I'd definitely get one.

I should have my GOC on Tuesday. It arrived in Dublin on Friday morning.

The pickups sound great, so probably not. Just aesthetically annoying I guess.

I read that blade pick-ups are already double wound like Humbuckers in the single coil size, so are the Humbucker sized double, double wound?

I played with a couple of other guitars today since the first time I got the GOC. I wanted to throw a couple of other guitars into the mix on a tune I'm doing.

The GOC sound better than all of them!

Bad pots on my steinberger, but since they are mounted to the preamp PCB, I'm replacing the main preamp board sometime this week.

Gonna flip that recently acquired 7 string Legator and get another GOC.
