I need a new tuner

What should I buy?

I’ve started to hate this little Korg mini I’ve got on my board. It’s what I plug into, and I use it as a mute and with its small size and the way you can’t really get Velcro on the bottom it’s always shifting around. I need something full size

I'm impressed with the Polytune Mini I have, and there's a bigger version of that available too. I also like the Boss TU-3 as it's super rugged but as a tuner the Polytune might be easier to see and more accurate.

The Polytune are a proven excellent tuners 👍
They come in black and white now and are on special offer on a few sites at the moment.👍
My most used and favourite is the Peterson followed by the Canvas Audio.👍

what is it you like about it?
It tracks faster than any other tuner I've used. Instantly.

The display is simple, bright, and doesn't jump around like most other pedal tuners.

Battery power option.

Relay true bypass.

USB for loading custom tunings.

The display doesn't go blank when you stop playing. It continues to display the last note played. Sounds arbitrary, but it's can be quite useful, especially when you get distracted in the middle of adjusting intonation.

Superior build quality with a substantial weighty feel.

Finally, I've grown to despise polytune now that I've outgrown its novelty.

The turbotuners, regular and mini, are the top two tuners you can buy and by a wide margin.

Once you get used to using a strobe tuner which doesn't take long, they lock into the note and tune faster than anything else. Much better than the Peterson, Polytune, Boss etc.

The display is simple, easy to read in direct sunlight and still not blinding in the dark.

The accuracy and precision is as good as or better than anything including a desktop strobe unit. Great for setting intonation, but you can also tune quickly.

The bigger model offers the option to use an internal battery, and it can also be set to either mute or pass the signal when tuning. The mini will mute while tuning.

That all sounds great, I’ll have to look around for one

I need to grab one as well, but tuners are totally a “Ugh….” purchase item for me because they take up the space and money a pedal that’s fun could use.

I got more excited about the junction box I bought the other day than thinking about buying a tuner.

Look for the positives...

You will now look forward to adjusting intonation.

You can easily explore multiple custom tunings.

Enjoy all the accumulated time saved due to instant note tracking.

Join the club and become one of the cool kids.

Did any of that help? :rofl

Yikes, with the internets most sketchy checkout form that looks like there’s about a 80% chance of my credit card info being hacked :rofl
They are tuner designers, not website builders. :rofl

I ordered mine using that sketchy form last week when they started filling backorders. It shipped on Monday and I received it yesterday.

Face your fear, it's worth it.

You can order over the phone as well, but he'll just fill out that sketchy web form for you.
