I've always wanted to try one of the EVH 5150 guitars.. Sweetwater made me a very good deal on a stealth model so here we go.

So far, I'm more impressed than I thought I'd be. Nice neck, nice fretboard and fretwork for the price point. After a set up the D tuner actually works down to Db. That surprised me. All in all, so far so good. It might stick..

That's the way to do it, murdered out from the get go! :satan:chef

Definitely don't get the credit they deserve, plenty of models nowadays.

Congrats, and may you love it long time!

That really does look awesome. Congratulations! Nice to know it's as cool in person. I love EVH guitars in general, but I wish they just didn't go with the Les Paul pickup selector placement.

Great value no nonsense rock guitar.
Nothing like 5150 actually is but that doesn’t mean it is not good.

Yeah, I was surprised by the name as well. Aside from the body shape, nothing says 5150. I've been playing it for a few days and my opinion is the same.. It's a keeper and I usually know within 10 minutes if a guitar is a keeper.
