So after watching Andy’s video earlier I ordered this board & case bundle from Germany.👍

Friend has a big DIY board which he made from wood. He puts it in a suitcase with wheels. His pedals are not protected in it though.

A thick towel stuffed inside the suitcase should help a little.

I carried my acoustic in a cheap bag stuffed with all my clothes, headstock wrapped in socks, through trains and buses for years.
Works out quite well.
Gets heavy though.

That giant wood thing might be OK for a home studio (but why?) but I don't get how he could use it for gigs, and not look around and realize there were much better solutions out there?

I am guessing this is the same person who had demoed Fender's Hammertone pedals. Demos were good but camera angle was weird.
His playing is stellar.
Like he picked a guitar up 2 months ago.
And has even played live, that’s quite some courage, lol.

Yeah, I was referring to him indeed.
From what I remember, I didn’t get that impression at all but haven’t seen anything in a long time.
Andy Ferris was a very good player well before he became a YouTuber So don’t get what it is you think remember?? 😡

Yeah maybe you should 😳
To many people on here just jump in and have a go when they don’t have any facts to back up the shit they say about people😡
Calm down, here's a couple of clips with timestamps.
Doesn't seem like a 'very good' guitarist.
May have improved over the years.
Credit to him for enduring the youtube drill.
Don't take it so personally; he's not a legend with incredible contribution to music.
I can respect artists without liking their art.

Why would anyone idolize this guy? I am sure he's nice; but he has no expertise or any worthwhile contribution to music. Unless I am missing something?

I never heard of him before this thread and his subscriber count is pretty low after 8 years of being a YouTuber, so I don't think there are many people who do idolize him.

I am still amazed that the other guy could be so clueless he was hauling around a 50 lb pedal board without a case for years. That was the "entertaining" part of the video, although I just skimmed through it.
