Hotone Verbera - Convolution reverb

One thing for me is, with all these super lush quality reverbs and what not (not talking about just the Verbera), you basically need stereo monitoring to really enjoy things. Collapsed to mono, they lose quite some of their appeal IMO. But for live, I'm a strictly mono guy and can't see that being changed any day soon. For the stuff I usually do (typically with keyboards present), there's just not much sense in going stereo. And outside of the live realm, hence usually in front of my computer when playing, I got more than enough kickass reverbs to run into option paralysis all the time.
For live purposes, in case I need some spacey sounds, I usually find delays to be the better choice in a mono setup

At least I tried... no idea how successful I'll be. Thing is, this is kinda like the device I've been sorta waiting for at a very acceptable price point.

Convolution reverb CAN'T capture modulation, period. The workaround is to have an algorithmic reverb in tandem that can add modulation which this does (including a dedicated mod knob).

That’s what I thought I heard in your video.

It’s cool that they added a way to add modulation, but my interest would be fully capturing the original reverb including its specific modulation settings. So this isn’t for me. That’s good news I didn’t need a reason to redo my rig right now…

Seems as if that won't be possible for at least a while to come. And my guess would as well be, that once it's possible, the first iterations of that new capture tech would not allow you to actually edit the modulation without editing the entire reverb.

Fwiw, it's really fun to grab whatever sounds from whatever sources and use them as IRs.
In this video, they're delivering an almost perfect IR (starter gun impulse) of an oil tank holding the record for world's largest natural reverb:


So I just grabbed it and slapped it into Logic's Space designer. It's trimmed to 17s reverb time here:



And here's a wellknown Bamboo Forest in Kyoto, "one of "one hundred must-be-preserved sounds of Japan" by the Japanese Government."


Trimmed to somewhat over 5s:

This product sounds great in all the videos. I am not sure I want to move up to that price range with them but the sounds certainly seem there.

I’ve been nothing but pleased with them. It’s why I bought this and the Pulze after being surprised how much I enjoy the Stage.

I’ve hunted down some reportedly killer IR’s and can’t wait to dive in to convoluted reverbs for the first time. Well, besides my TM Super anyway. As much as I love getting my dirt and foundational tone just right… I love diving in to reverbs and delays with it. It just inspires me and I’m more creative…. So I play more. That’s what matters most to me in the end.
