good lord. is that just the amp?
am i crazy to think it has an uncanny resemblance to a vht/fryette!
i hear that- hiwatts have been faves of mine for a LONG time! if that thing is dialable down into classic hiwatt gain ranges... id sure use that. for a high gainer, vhts and fryettes sound great to me.. thats every bit as good!
Wonder what became of that MiC line they showed at NAMM.
Ah - finally!Looks like it's available now. But way more expensive than anticipated. I think originally they said something like $1500-$1700. But the 50W is listed at $2300 before shipping, tax, duties. And the hand-wired version is now $5100. Glad I got mine when I did haha. I'm not sure where the hand-wired version is "formally" built. If it's the U.K. then there's a 10% reciprocal duty. If it's Canada, it's 35%. The Chinese version has a reciprocal duty as well I'm sure.
I know with Wizard amps (Canadian), the final price on a $6K amp is up around $8,000.
Nice, Hiwatts are my fave. I have a couple of them. Incredible master volume circuit, perhaps the best.
Hey man! Glad to see ya here!!!
That sounds fucking BADASS!!!!

The MV circuit is interactive with the volume control especially when you jump channels. It doesn't get "flubby".Oh what's different about it?

Just a thumbs up for Hiwatt, that's all. Not the Super Hi specifically. As the circuit is tweaked. As was the JP model Hiwatt of 1970/71.Oh you're talking about a different amp, not the Super Hi?
