No way this will be sub $1k US. If I had to guess, and I’m just spitballing here I’d say $1799-1999Anything sub-1000USD is a big win, but I agree, there WILL be a down-under premium+Jason's one-man operation premium.

Wow, nice work!!
Interested to know how you recorded this, direct to DAW?
I think it's absolutly good enough and it's how I've been running it all the way through - this clip during the development phase is the preamp direct to FOH, using all and only the embedded TN backend.
I had a similar question here. I have no clue if this is desirable from a product or business standpoint, but since the value is so high already from this unit, I thought I'd give this a "feature request" chance. If possible, any way to unlock the two notes "power amp" sim section (preamp section not needed of course)? This allows the P1 to be the ultimate (I mean, probably already is) "real tube preamp" / virtual hybrid setup. That way, we could disable the power amp section if we wanted (or substitute a different two notes tube model for the power amp). This makes the P1 the ultimate brains of a real tube preamp system.
You could then do things like plugging the output of full amp head through a load box, or a Syn20IR (cabs disabled) into the return loop of the P1 (since that already has the EL84 power amp built in), and disabling the power amp section of the P1 embedded. Or use a Syn2 and plug the output into the P1 running a different tube sim on the TN embedded.
The purchase for the Alta preamp is a no brainer buy on it's own for me, but enabling the power amp section of the TN embedded (to disable or swap tube sims) would just make it the ultimate pre amp brain for any system!
Thanks for hearing out the request, I can't wait for my number on the waitlist either way. The preamp is fantastic and the integration seems top tier.
Yes, very easy to take the preamp output of the P1 and go to other power amps. I'm talking about the other way around, to take advantage of the TN system built in to the P1 from other preamps / amp heads!
The problem is just that if we come from a load output from a full amp head, that already has "power amp" stage built in of course, so it then goes through the Alta 100 power amp sim on the TN section.
We can take advantage of the TN section using other preamps by using the mono fx return on the Alta P1 (something Jason calls out in the manual as well!)
I just mean if we could disable the power amp section in the TN remote app, it woudl allow us to use full amp heads in this system as well (and not just other preamps)
Right now, the EL84 power amp model is always on on the TN side of things.
I agree this is a great idea, but doubt Two Notes will ever allow bypassing the power amp sim in the Alta backend because that would cannibalize sales of their own physical units.I had a similar question here. Seems like kind of a corner case. You could just get one of their Captors or other products if you only want the back end, they're reasonably priced and then you are not running one unit into another one solely to piggyback onto some built-in feature of that unit that is missing from the upstream device.Yes, very easy to take the preamp output of the P1 and go to other power amps.
