I's interesting that we guitar players (I include myself) get deep into the weeds when comparing amps, as the Mark V and JP2C are both superb pieces of equipment. To my ears it way mid forward and I like what I get out of my Mark V better, it's an awesome amp but it collects dust for me.
If you play live and need to cut through the mix I am 100% sure this is the better amp or if you play solo's even. I am barley a rythm player and never play with anyone else so I like extra low end.
I agree, you play a much wider range of music based on the posts I've seen, so it makes sense that you need more amps for the sounds you're going for.I's interesting that we guitar players (I include myself) get deep into the weeds when comparing amps, as the Mark V and JP2C are both superb pieces of equipment.
I'm struggling with the fact that I bought the Mark VII thinking I could maybe do without one of my other Mesas - and of course, I could - but for some reason I can't bear to part with them.
I'm not usually reluctant to sell gear. Oh well!
I'm guilty of rationalizations like, 'if I buy item A my tone quest will be fulfilled, and II'll never want/need another thing'.I have this strange habit of collecting stuff, thinking it’ll inspire me to play more, but then I realize the honeymoon phase never lasts, and I don’t end up playing more because of the gear.
Great amps! Sounds like you're on a roll.Pretty big year for me doing some amp changing out. Got a Suhr SL68 and Bogner Uber Ultra
Rolling something.Great amps! Sounds like you're on a roll.
Tubes, right?Rolling something.![]()
It was me. And the JP2C is amazing and you will love it I am sure. I just enjoy my Mark V more for me.Someone above wants to sell the JP2C, I just bought it... and that's fine, everyone has their own preferences.
At the moment I have a Mezzabarba Trinity and the JP2C, it's hard to choose which one is better. Both are great.
What things do you like on the Mark V?It was me. And the JP2C is amazing and you will love it I am sure. I just enjoy my Mark V more for me.
For my ears, and I am tarded I promise, it's so mid forward and if you hit the shred boost it's even more so. I feel like I can't get that low end "I" like. I play alone and like to be my own bass player w/o owning a bass. What things do you like on the Mark V?
My favorite channel on the Mark V 90 is the 3rd channel and it kinda makes me wish I had two of them like the JP2C. But without all the modes it's not the same thing.
Careful! Wear sneakers or slippers, boots won't protect you.The Fender Vaporiser arrived earlier.
