I's interesting that we guitar players (I include myself) get deep into the weeds when comparing amps, as the Mark V and JP2C are both superb pieces of equipment. To my ears it way mid forward and I like what I get out of my Mark V better, it's an awesome amp but it collects dust for me.
If you play live and need to cut through the mix I am 100% sure this is the better amp or if you play solo's even. I am barley a rythm player and never play with anyone else so I like extra low end.
I agree, you play a much wider range of music based on the posts I've seen, so it makes sense that you need more amps for the sounds you're going for.I's interesting that we guitar players (I include myself) get deep into the weeds when comparing amps, as the Mark V and JP2C are both superb pieces of equipment.
I'm struggling with the fact that I bought the Mark VII thinking I could maybe do without one of my other Mesas - and of course, I could - but for some reason I can't bear to part with them.
I'm not usually reluctant to sell gear. Oh well!
I'm guilty of rationalizations like, 'if I buy item A my tone quest will be fulfilled, and II'll never want/need another thing'.I have this strange habit of collecting stuff, thinking it’ll inspire me to play more, but then I realize the honeymoon phase never lasts, and I don’t end up playing more because of the gear.
