Not cool at all, but still kinda funny.

At first I thought he charged customers insane prices for some crap at store :rofl

While it is funny and so, but “he copied a customer's credit card and used it to make personal purchases” which is not cool.

How incredibly stupid. There are crimes where you might get caught and ones like this where it is pretty much guaranteed that you will get caught. You don't get to keep the $5k but the criminal record for theft will haunt him in every job search for the rest of his life. Great move.

Still among the sharpest Guitar Center employees.

I mean, criminals = not smart + guitar center employee = not smart = this guy. It's amazing people don't think this through.

I am very seldom rude to people (even if they have it coming), but if some kid ripped me off like that I would very quickly become his least favorite person on the planet.
Unless the kid was a dick to the customers, it seems like the customers were assholes first. Still stupid as hell to steal when it's so easy to get caught.

I don't understand people whose approach is to be mean to people working customer service. You always get better results if you are kind and understanding.

Even when you have an issue, it's usually not the customer service person who caused it. So you should be nice to the customer service person and they are more likely to want to help you solve the problem.

I've been dealing with the public for the better part of 40 years, and idiots & assholes are everywhere. But it doesn't matter at all-if you have to deal with an asshole, you just put on a smile and get through it as quickly as possible. In no situation is theft justified.

Everyone of us who also uses credit cards or shops retail at all absorbs the costs of theft. It is spread around and hidden, but it's part of the prices we pay every day.

This is the part that people don’t think about. Credit card fraud increases our costs. Shoplifting increases what we pay for groceries and goods.
