Going crazy: Stomp XL refuses to control Tsakalis Mothership via snapshots!

Well...I have the Stomp XL and the Tsakalis Mothership, which is similar to the Friedman IR-D. The Tsakalis receives MIDI commands via PC program and not via CC. I’ve managed to set it up in such a way that in Stomp Mode I can select the channel I want on the Mothership, but I haven’t found the right way to achieve this in Snapshot Mode. I’ve tried doing it through Command Center without any success. I don’t know what options I should choose in order to make it work, and as you know, being in Stomp Mode only creates time gaps when switching between sounds. Your help would be extremely important if you actually know the solution. I’ve watched dozens of YouTube videos so far without managing to figure it out.

Can you help? I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you!

Should be pretty straightforward, just make sure both units are set to the same MIDI channel and assign the correct PC # in Command Center.

The Tsukalis Mothership manual has a pretty shit tier explanation for MIDI use:

MIDI PROGRAMING: Press & hold together (A-B) & (ON) footswitches to enter the midi programming mode.
The LED B will start blinking in a sequence according which controls (Gain-Volume A or Gain-Volume B) are selected.
Controls A: LED B blinking sequence 800ms OFF / 100ms ON
Controls B: LED B blinking sequence 800ms ON /100ms OFF.
Once you have entered the programming mode choose the desired states of each footswitch and then send a midi program change command to the MOTHERSHIP (midi channel OMNI).
If the midi command is valid the LED B will start blinking fast with a sequence of 500ms ON / 500ms OFF.
Press & hold together (A-B) &(ON) footswitches to store midi changes and exit midi programming mode.

The way I understand this, you should do this:
  1. Connect HX Stomp MIDI out/thru jack -> Tsukalis MIDI IN jack
  2. Set HX Stomp Command Center to send Program Change messages on any MIDI channel. Default channel 1 should be fine.
  3. Hold Tsukalis A/B and On footswitches to enter MIDI programming mode.
  4. Use the Tsukalis footswitches to determine which channel and A/B footswitch state is on.
  5. Press one of the snapshot footswitches on the HX Stomp to send the attached MIDI program change message (e.g ch 1 PC 2).
  6. Hold Tsukalis A/B and On footswitches to save the changes and return to normal operation.
  7. Now sending MIDI commands from HX Snapshots should work.
I think you can also configure multiple presets at once by sending different MIDI PC messages after making changes. For example:
  1. Hold Tsukalis A/B and On footswitches to enter MIDI programming mode.
  2. Preset 1 = A/B off, channel 1 -> send MIDI ch 1 PC 1 to Tsukalis.
  3. Preset 2 = A/B off, channel 2 -> send MIDI ch 1 PC 2 to Tsukalis.
  4. Preset 3 = A/B on, channel 2 -> send MIDI ch 1 PC 3 to Tsukalis.
  5. Hold Tsukalis A/B and On footswitches to save the changes and return to normal operation.
I don't think you can save e.g knob positions.
