Recording with HX Stomp tonight. What's up with the Volume block?

I'm running Logic Pro (latest version). I was running a patch with a Volume block in it. Every time I hit stop and rewind to beginning the volume block would switch to zero. Let me tell you, it took quite a while to figure out what was happening and why my sound just quit all of a sudden.

Does the stop and rewind button on the Logic Pro interface send a midi signal to the HX Stomp to turn the volume down? Is there a way to make it not do that? I don't have the volume pedal attached (because I don't know where I put it). Would plugging it in help?

I temporarily solved the issue by removing the Volume block from the patch.

That makes perfect sense. Good it's sorted. If not ideally.
Well, I generally don’t use MIDI with the Stomp so I’m thinking it’s good to do. Thanks.

This never happened before I upgraded Logic so it’s probably a new setting that I have to find.

I suspect you have some external control defined in your daw (like the Mackie protocol), and cause of that certain actions send midi CC through the USB…appearently in this case the one that is tied to the volume block.

if you indeed use a controller, maybe set that to another midi channel.
Else in a few months you’ll be looking wtf midi over usb doesn’t work ;)

I think I found it.
