Get up, come on, get down with the sickness…. List your amps.

Goody eye Bruv! Channel 2, Crunch boosted with a Maxon 808 or Precision Drive from the AXE-III, settings on the Mark and EQ are what they are. It friggin slays!

I traded that Mark V one year after I bought it in 2018 for a powered Kemper rack. About a year after that, the guy I sold it to put it up for sale and I was able to buy it back. Never sell it again, most versatile amp I’ve ever played and with the right boost, one of the most brutal.
Sweet. I considered getting one a few times for the versatility (and that it's a Mesa), but never pulled the trigger.

What are those 3 knobs next to the graphic? Never noticed them before.

Those are are another EQ option. You can choose (via a toggle switch) to either use the EQ sliders or those knobs (one for each channel). They have a sweep that ranges from scooped to sort of like an inverse scoop. I like using one for channel one sometimes or just bypassing the EQ all together for channel one.

Current amp list:
Mesa Mark III DRG Simulclass Green Stripe
Mesa Road King 2
Mesa Badlander 100
Mesa Mini Rectifier
Synergy Syn 2 with modules: HBE, IICP, SLO, and B Man
Synergy 50/50

It would be far too hard to list all the other amps I've had over the years. I've gone through probably 60-70% of Mesa's lineup, plus EVH, PRS, Ampeg, and various Rocktron gear over the years. I've always had a soft spot for Mesa rack gear as well, but do not own any currently. I'd love to see a modern Triaxis come out, but until then the IICP does the job.

I tend to cycle through amps somewhat frequently (maybe too much), but here's the main ones I've currently got. These are the ones that I've had for a while now and that I think will be sticking around for a bit at least:

Marshall 1987 50 watt Plexi
Marshall JCM800 2204 50 watt
Peavey Ultra Plus 120 watt
Carvin X-100B 100 watt
Ampeg VL-1002 100 watt
Jet City JCA100HDM 100 watt
Fender Blues Deluxe 2x12 reissue model 40 watt

On top of those I have a myriad of other smaller amps, pedalboard amps like Powerstage 170 and 200, Pedal Baby, etc.

Man, I am so jelly over this thread... any way that most/all of y'all can write me into your wills?

Right now:
Jet City JCA100HDM
Boss Katana 50
Marshall Micro Stack w/DSL1
Soldano SLO Mini
Joyo ZoMBie

and, for modeling, a Helix Rack.

Want to say hi to all!

I am new here (thanks for letting me join), and am more of an amp guy when it comes to gear nerd talk.
So I consider this thread a good way to say hello👋

Amps I bought, in "historical" order beginning way back in 1993. I don't own them anymore though ...

- Peavey Envoy 110 (aluminum+ blue stripe) 1993
- Hughes & Kettner Attax 100 Combo (carpet-like fibre coated) 1994
- Marshall JCM 900 4500 Dual Reverb 1995
- Marshall JCM 800 2210 Split Channel 1997
- Marshall Jubilee Combo 2554 1998
- Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 50 1999
- ENGL Blackmore 100 2000
- ENGL Savage 120 2001
- Diezel VH-4 (only for some weeks, didn't like it) 2003

Around 2004 / 2005 I started building my own amps.
I started by mixing elements of different amps together, which evolved to an ENGL like topology over the years but with a kinda marshallized EQ-curve.
This would last until 2015, when I started to built clones of known amps, but often with some smaller changes to make them fit my needs.
So on we go with the list of clones (* = still own):
- Friedman Small Box 2015
- Lunchbox-sized ENGL Savage ch 3+4 topology 50W EL34 2016, converted to Savage specs 2022, converted to Fryette-ish specs (new PCB) 2023 (*)
- Marshall Jubilee 50W Mini Head 2017 (*)
- Lunchbox sized Carvin X100b based channel switcher 50W EL34 2017, converted to hotrodded 2204/Friedman JEL 2021 (*)
- Fryette Deliverance 60 2021/2022 (*)
- Soldano SLO 50W EL34 (*)
- 50W EL34 bastard of Wizard MC Lead and SLO-ish Clean/Crunch (*)

As of today, the two Fryette(-ish) amps I absolutely like best, especially in a band situation.
For home use I also enjoy the SLO (which I modded a little for more tightness in the lead channel), also the Jubilee, and the Wizard/ SLO bastard. All go through a simple reactive load attenuator.

Thanks for your attention and sorry for that nerdy introduction of mine!

@headcrash What a lovely polite introduction 🙂

The list of clones that you've built looks really cool!

It's high time someone started a guts shot thread in the amp forum. Hopefully we'll get to see some of yours some time!
Thanks guys for the kind words and warm welcome:beer
