Fryette GPDI/IR

They are hard to find in the States right now, but when I do I am pretty sure
I am going to take a flyer on one. It'll be more useful to me than another
big, dumb tube amp.

As much as I love those behemoths, they are just not that useful
to me in my advanced years.

This is the only one I've seen come up in my Reverb feed so far. They want $45 for shipping though :wat

Haha! I had that open in a tab a few minutes ago. :cheers

I am patient. Comes with age and experience. I think.

That sounds great, Ed.

Man, Fryette makes cool shit, but they seriously need to make a deal with BAD or something. Their shit is never in stock. Even the PS-2 that's been out for years is backordered. It's backordered every time I check.

Agreed. I would like to upgrade my PS-1 to a PS-2 or PS-100 but I'm afraid I'll be sitting with nothing for months before I find one :rofl

Steve andI are friends, heck he actually visited the property and met with the landlord before I moved from Seattle to Malibu.
Back then stuff was so easy available.
That's small biz for ya.

But yeah he's been doing a whole lotta guitar swiss army knives.

Playing that GPDIIR makes miss all my Fryettes I used to have. But the one I miss the most and know seriously thinking I want again is the Memphis, well and a D2 lol and a power station...it never stops lol

I get that, but this isn't a new problem, it's at least a decade old problem. Just weird to me, when Steve and Friedman are good friends too.

He seems to live by his own set of principles---come hell or highwater.

I applaud it, even if it creates issues on the consumer end. :idk

He also probably doesn't trust anyone else. I totally get that.

Prolly still has the bad after taste from the days that made VHT into Fryette

:chef :beer

Still loving it, Ed? :idk
So I was asked on the TOP if I tried running Tonex into the return of it.

I hadn't and just tried and that's what I found and posted over there...

Well I tried first running Tonex into the fx return it was workable but literally you're without any adjustments options.

Then I tried into the front end set clean and that was just way cool.
So...Tonex pedal into GPDI-IR- into the 10" inch speaker of a Mesa MkV:25 made for a very fun ride.
Especially with the Amalgam Rex For Ed profiles.

Thanks for asking about it, would've never occured to me to even try that.
I already preferred Tonex into pedal baby into various speakers to monitors/"FRFR" or ugh Class D power amps, but this is really swiss army guitar knife!
