I’ve got my fingers crossed for AM1/FM1 or whatever you guys want to call the amp/cab only thingy I have been waiting for. Give me something small I can slap on my pedal board for fractal amp modeling, that doesn’t take up a lot of space and doesn’t make me upgrade my power supply. Probably won’t happen with the AM4 already released but I can dream.

mKe it an AM mini in form factor of QC mini and I’ll get behind it. No need for a bypass switch on an amp-only device.

A few days with the FM9 (thanks @ChordInversion!). Random thoughts:

• Excellent build quality and super rugged design as expected
• I like the volume knobs on this more than the FM3 mini knobs
• Feels like the perfect amount of switches for a floor device even if the layout is a bit awkward (so wide)
• LOVE being able to fully control and program the unit right on the device
• UI is still incredibly awkward compared to other units though
• Headphone amp is really powerful - I'm running my Sennheisers at like 1 out of 10
• No DSP issues yet but I don't use a ton of effects
• Sounds great of course, all the stuff I like from my Axe FX 3

Could be the Goldilox for me...as much power and I/O as I need from the Axe 3 but with more power and switching than the FM3.

Likely selling the Axe 3 + FC-12 very soon. Will keep the Fender TMP for now and swap back post honeymoon to see how I like it in comparison. I could see moving to just FM9 though if I keep with my new minimalist downsizing trend.

Interested in hearing your thoughts between TMP and Fractal. I have been happily using an FM3 the last 5 or so years and just received a used TMP yesterday. First impressions of the TMP have been good, but I've yet to set it up with my FM3 and a ABY switch to see what I think are the pluses and minuses of each.

I really like the TMP! I wrote up something at TOP but I think the fender has the best UI of any modeler I’ve tried. It's really FUN and feels like a virtual amp and effects board. I think sonically it's up there with the latest gen modelers. The one big thing I don't love is the speaker impedance curve implementation which I don't fully trust to be implemented properly. There's some minor things too but those are more related to the keeping it simple approach. But in general I think the TMP is underrated especially by those who didn't try it or only played it around release.

Improved pitch shifting for low frequencies, e.g. bass guitars.

Grouped types in Reverb block to aid in selection.

Increased range of Attack Time in Input block. Attack Time can now be set to a minimum of 0.1 ms. Existing presets are automatically updated.

I wonder if the Transistor power amp type makes it logistically easier/more likely for us to get more solid state amps in the future. Fingers crossed for Hartke LH500/1000 to go along with the existing Hartke 2x10/1x15 Dynacabs..
