Fractal Talk

Cliff is in Internet Explorer mode today :p

With my 1987x I see and hear the same thing as with my JCM800, with Presence at 10 there is a about 6dB difference in treble compared to the models, so it's not my amps.
The difference in treble response came down to the impedance curve of the Suhr RL.

Here are the settings that match the Suhr RL.

The followup is thusly, I request a few slots of custom impedance curves so I can save and recall them quickly or use as a global impedance curve.

PS.
The models are spot on, I freaking love my Fractal.

The difference between here and TOP is that the peeps here can actually play. A TOP they flap their gums a lot and make outrageous claims but can't back any of it up with their playing.

Fractal makes amazingly rugged gear. After I got my FM9, I sold my FM3 and was kind of amazed what good shape it was in. I played hundreds of shows and rehearsals and recorded an album with that thing and it barely had a scratch on it. That why I always wonder why people bother with screen guards for the FM9/FM3. I mean, they can look kind of cool, but aren't the actual LCDs already covered by big thick plastic lenses?

In my experience, the screen cover on the FM3 scracthes very easily. I recently bought a MKII and i'll keep the factory protector in for as long as it stays put.

Weird. My FM3 screen was fine when I sold it. I certainly didn't baby it. Maybe they improved the lens before I got mine?

I still got the factory stickers over the screen and scribble strips on my new FM9 MK2. It's only been over a month or something, but I'll just keep them on as long as they hold on lol. Not like it's getting abused sitting on my desk!

Probably makes me a bad dad, but I showed that film to my daughter, and she loved it right up until the guy got his head eaten off by frickin' sharks with frickin' lazer beams on their frickin' heads. She was terrified.

Oops.

Oh no! Wait until they are 10 to whatever??? .... and the inadvertent and unexpected sexy time comes on the screen.

:sofa

Gets way worse after that. :crazy

I stopped watching movies with my kids altogether. Not worth the pain and awkwardness.
