Yep.My guess is the RL is simply using one inductor.
Yep.My guess is the RL is simply using one inductor.
With my 1987x I see and hear the same thing as with my JCM800, with Presence at 10 there is a about 6dB difference in treble compared to the models, so it's not my amps.
The difference in treble response came down to the impedance curve of the Suhr RL.

Here are the settings that match the Suhr RL.

The followup is thusly, I request a few slots of custom impedance curves so I can save and recall them quickly or use as a global impedance curve.
PS.
The models are spot on, I freaking love my Fractal.
The difference between here and TOP is that the peeps here can actually play. A TOP they flap their gums a lot and make outrageous claims but can't back any of it up with their playing.

Probably makes me a bad dad, but I showed that film to my daughter, and she loved it right up until the guy got his head eaten off by frickin' sharks with frickin' lazer beams on their frickin' heads. She was terrified. One of the greatest monologues in cinematic history.

Resurrection
So, I live in Western NC. Eight months ago, my house was destroyed by Hurricane Helene. Actually, not so much destroyed, but completely underwater for 36 hours. I lost most of my music gear - amps, guitars, and Fractal gear (Axe-Fx Ultra, Axe-Fx 2, Axe-Fx 3, Ax8, FC-6, FC-12). It sucks, but...forum.fractalaudio.com

That why I always wonder why people bother with screen guards for the FM9/FM3. I mean, they can look kind of cool, but aren't the actual LCDs already covered by big thick plastic lenses?
Weird. My FM3 screen was fine when I sold it. I certainly didn't baby it. Maybe they improved the lens before I got mine?In my experience, the screen cover on the FM3 scracthes very easily. I recently bought a MKII and kept the factory protector in for as long as it stays put.

Oops.
Yeah I remember some awkward moments with my parents too!Not worth the pain and awkwardness.![]()
