Fractal's engineering core has been incredibly low turnover. The "newest" engineer that we work with through beta testing has been there maybe 5+ years now. I think that says a lot about their culture and work environment.
That would be so fuckin sick.If Fractal ever releases a hardware amp block, I would very much like it to be a set-top box with front facing knobs like an amp head, not a pedal.
IMO if it sits on top of a cab, pedal format is fine.If Fractal ever releases a hardware amp block, I would very much like it to be a set-top box with front facing knobs like an amp head, not a pedal.
Are we talking about a slanted faceplate here?![]()
All the knobs from the ideal page should be on there. The knobs should be backlit (like the AX8) and use endless encoders like the ABCDE knobs currently. What would really take the prize would be a switch in the back that goes from ideal to authentic controls; when flipped to authentic, the lights on the controls with no function either turn of or become extremely dim or turn a different colour (editable from the settings page). If Fractal ever releases a hardware amp block, I would very much like it to be a set-top box with front facing knobs like an amp head, not a pedal.
It appears so.Fractal must be working on something it been a slower couple of months for them .
Just thinking out loud (and killing time)....
Can Fractal give us a Line6 or NDSP style UI that is intuitive--with existing hardware and the buttons we have available? Or is new-and-improved UI only really feasible on a newer unit with different buttons/physical setup?

This is very subjectivethat is intuitive
Next time just look in a mirror and say; “Laxu, Laxu, Laxu” and you’ll get your answer without having to pose the question.![]()
I barked up the "Give us some usability improvements" tree for several years. It's not happening without a next gen.Just thinking out loud (and killing time)....

They’ve made some but nothing that competes with what others have brought to the market with their gear.![]()

If it were only that it’d agree but it goes much deeper than that. I’m a tube snob so fancy touch screens and GUI’s don’t impress meGUI and fancy touch screens with eye candy, i dont see that in a Fractal its not in their wheelhouse
