I need to blast my ass
Would be nice if Fractal had a view to show what is using the CPU the most. Kind of like computer operating systems have a Task Manager or Activity Monitor for this.I notice if you turn the noise gate off on any IN block, you can drop 3 to 4% CPU per block!
My jazz preset which has a IN 1, IN 2 and IN 3 is hovering around 76% but if i turn all three noise gates off it drops down to around 66%
Just a little tip for anyone wanting to save some CPU that may not need that noise gate!
Is the soft reset available in the editor or only on the Unit I cant see it in the editor and yes its the latest version of the editor

Axe-Fx III Firmware 28.06 Release
I'm not seeing it either. A little more clarity other than "read the release notes" would be nice. Apologies for the short answer, I'm at work and haven't actually done any of this. Thankfully other folks chimed in.forum.fractalaudio.com

Even removing unused shunts drops the cpu usage.I notice if you turn the noise gate off on any IN block, you can drop 3 to 4% CPU per block!
I like the way Helix handles it. If there isn’t enough CPU for specific block, it gets greyed out. Simple and effective without adding additional bloat like an activity monitor.Would be nice if Fractal had a view to show what is using the CPU the most. The QC has an option to show how much CPU takes up on the block itself which is niceI like the way Helix handles it. If there isn’t enough CPU for specific block, it gets greyed out. Simple and effective without adding additional bloat like an activity monitor.
An activity monitor would require yet another page to tab over to. Where would you put it? In the setup menu? To the right of the Performance Pages? So you’d have to exit out of the block or grid in order to view it and then go back into a block or grid to test to see if the CPU can handle another block?
I’d just make it an optional view in the editor. For when folks hit a wall and want to investigate to make hard choices. No biggie for me really. My presets aren’t kitchen sink style but pretty sparse and focused… at least I think so!An activity monitor would require yet another page to tab over to. Where would you put it? In the setup menu? I guess you could have it open exclusively in the editor like the Preset Leveling Tool.
Then it begs the question, how much CPU would it take to run an Activity Monitor? The FM3 can’t run an RTA Block. Could it run a realtime Activity Monitor?
