Fractal Audio Systems AM4 - Amp Modeler

The QC Mini is my other thought and that may still happen, but I love the Fractal amp modeling!
Same, while im having tons of fun with the AM4, starting to get results that I like plus tons to learn....something tells me nothing would beat a capture of my amp, at my settings and my gear on the QC mini.

Ordered an AM4 - all but decided last week I'm selling my Axe FX III and FC-12 as I just don't use the full horsepower and I want something portable to take to other rooms in the house and use w/ headphones (like a sofa rig :sofa).

This is exactly where I have been (+ being a little over basically having to use computer editors), and I was very close to going with the QC Mini, but ended up opting for the AM4.

I don't think it's ethical to be sharing captures of amp modelers. It takes away from Fractal's work
No one signed a EULA before using a modeler, that allows the user to do pretty much anything.
Personally I think a capture is far cry from a complete model, if anything, it promotes buying the modeler or amp it was captured from if the capture is good.

Agreed. If we're cool to capture a sound going through amps or even IRs I'm sure not thinking modellers or anything should be exempt.

The whole morality police is funny when it comes to anything regarding this entire landscape.

I really wish the AM4 had per-channel switching, so I could do:

1. OD 2. amp channel (alternate or cycle-through) 3. Delay 4. Reverb. It's almost there just with effects mode. But I'd rather be able to switch channels, than add a clean boost.

I have some gut shots and components here:

I forget what the III uses but you should be able to compare
surface mount magic fairy dust doesn't sound nearly as good as point to point....

AM4 received! Can't play with it until later, but I'm glad I happened to be home since the FedEx guy decided to 1. sign for it himself without even knocking, and 2. set it on the ground uncovered lol...

Call FedEx and complain that your driver didn't go the whole hog and attach a note saying PLEASE STEAL ME.
