Fractal Audio Systems AM4 - Amp Modeler

It may not have a pitch block but i bet you could get creative with the reverb block before or after amp/block for some pitch stuff too. All reverbs have pitch shifter options except spring reverbs. I'll have to experiment with this.

Pitch or NAM.

Actually Brockstar since you were a beta tester can I ask a couple of quick questions

The solo boost in the amp block could that be activated by scenes could I have it set to activate on my lead scene?

What about saving blocks to a library or template , let’s say i tweak a great delay can I name that save it somewhere to quickly recall like a favourite when building new patches

I honestly think I am this close to ordering one

You mean input boost? Don't quote me but im certain it should. I know you can activate it with channels! I just don't remember if I tried with scenes yet.

You could also set the input boost to a expression pedal or external ' switch.

Yes you can save user blocks! They're also cross compatible with VP4 😉

Thanks for the answers
It was the output boost the 4db in the amp mode I wanted to used that on a lead patch without having to hit the switch

The next person that says Pitch or NAM is getting poo in their stocking for Christmas
TGF 1: "I know this thing was only released with four blocks, one of which isn't the pitch block, but they also said its more powerful than a super computer I think, so I'm sure they'll get around to adding in the pitch block that they already know everyone wants but chose not to include at launch."

TGF 2: "Clearly this thing is going to get Gen IV modeling and NAM captures; probably in update 2.0. Better sell your Axe Fx IIIs before they start losing value boys!"

I'm hopeful for the AM people that any new modeling engines for Gen IV can be accessible (at least for a decent part of the lifecycle)
As a two day AM4 owner, I hope so, too.

However... as it came out of the box? Staggering bang : buck! Deluxe 6G3 on deck... Juicer, too... and so the journey begins...

Cliff has ALWAYS wrung it dry on his customer's behalf. <3 If the AM4 doesn't quite make it to "next-gen" capabilities... S/PDIF I/O and AM4 Edit will soften that blow.

I still long/hope for some type of breakout box (L6) for the next gen. ADAT for sure. LOVE the guitar/bass capabilities... but I want the Fractal MIX capabilities, too!

Anyway... if Cliff can... Cliff will.

Think I saw Leon talk about using a Chorus block for Pitch, too.

Freaky tools under foot/finger!

AM4 is out for delivery. I didn’t expect it to even ship until next week.

Im so pumped for this one. The only other digital 6G3 I’m aware of is the amalgam Tonex capture pack. The brown amps don’t get the love they deserve.

Honestly SPDIF is a total no brainer. There seems to be a clear trend towards modular digital boxes - hopefully everyone gets on board because I love minimizing conversion stages and tightening up latency anywhere possible.
