Fractal Audio Systems AM4 - Amp Modeler

I think the AM4 might be perfect for me. I like a modular approach where I can mix and match gear based on the occasion and switch things up every once in a while. I also put more emphasis on having high-quality amp sims and a few high-quality effects than on having a plethora of things happening at the same time in complicated presets. Honestly, I could probably get by with just an AM4 most of the time, and I love how compact and lightweight it is. And having the option to combine an AM4 with my VP4 and/or my various pedals and/or my amps? Nice!

Yeah, I do think I am. No wonder I got on the G66 waiting list within an hour of the AM4 being announced.

I'm hopeful for the AM people that any new modeling engines for Gen IV can be accessible (at least for a decent part of the lifecycle)

Everything that I’ve ever read about Cliff leads me to believe he wouldn’t settle for lesser quality amp sims in a Fractal product.

Honestly, if I was going to go modelling for live (I'm not planning on it any time soon!) the AM4, a volume pedal, a wah pedal... that'd do it. Amp+Cab, two delays, and a reverb.

EDIT: Ohhhh wait, you only get 1 delay black. Okay... a drive then!

Agreed I am actually considering it since it’s AXE3 quality
Live I personally would never use verb
So wah / Drive / delay is plenty especially if I can switch channels from JVM to SLO for a Lead

It would be great at some point in the future if the Plex Delay could be added. I'd be happy to give up the Reverb slot so join the two delay slots to form one Plex delay. Don't know if that's possible - but just a request.
