Fractal Audio Axe Fx IV Product Imminent??

Are you going to sell your Axe Fx III now?

My guess is poweramp.

I actually dreamt about such a product the other night!

I’d be really interested too. It could possibly become a new favourite to use with modeling devices.

I currently have this (main and backup) for when I don’t use my Atomic active CLR wedge, the return of my tube amps, or my BAM200:

I’d definitely like to rely on Fractal instead!

It’s weird because on one hand it could make all the sense in the world for FAS to leverage their effects in a bunch of standalone pedals. On the other hand, the FAS base already has all these effects at their disposable in a variety of formats, including an existing effect pedal.

I guess the question is how much they think they could penetrate the larger pedal market, or would they be banking on FAS users running this MTD pedal into the VP4 into the AM4 into an AxeFx? :ROFLMAO:

I have an AxeFX III, FM9, VP4 and if they made a standalone delay pedal I’d buy it on the first day.

I’d love to see a Fractal power amp, that’d really be quite stellar to have something made with amplifying Fractal products being a huge focus, if not the primary. Jay’s mystery post obviously lends a notion a speaker system could have possibly maybe been worked on, I can definitely say the only way I’d be willing to check out FRFR or Class D/solid state power is if it had Fractal’s name on it.

If they do that my guess is it might be pedal sized to fit on a board
W some deeper editing options perhaps through app

I explained the basis for that post here: Winter NAMM 2026 predictions.

For the record: I have no connection to Fractal Audio Systems nor to Cliff Chase. Not even private messages, if you don't count two I got from Cliff threatening to sue me. (Spoiler: he didn't. I never even heard from his attorney). I've been banned from the FAS forum since 2013.

This is equally unsurprising as it is funny to me. :rofl

Edit- I mean Jay getting threatened to be sued in general, not that I'm not surprised Cliff supposedly did it. Of all these Cliff horror stories, I've yet to see receipts.

the snarling dog can't hurt you

I had a Whine-O-Wah back in the day. I wish i still did 😥

The only thing that irked me about the pedal is that it boosted levels a lot when engaged. I emailed Charlie Stringer (may he RIP) and the guy very kindly replied suggesting a single resistor change which fixed the issue for me. Really, really good sounding wah after the mod, and you couldn't beat the looks.
