There's a lot of info out there about 50's Gibson and Fenders, do you have a recommendation on where to read up about pre-war Gibsons @Eagle ? By my limited understanding the L5 is a crucial design on the road to "modern" guitars in the 20th century.

Wow, that L5 looks like a amazing guitar! I only played a L5 once for a few minutes and from what I can remember, the sound was lovely.

That's the 1st time I seen a L5S low impedance model. Although I did see and play a Les Paul with those types of pickups that was for sale in a Hollywood, CA guitar store years ago, I think that one was called a Les Paul Recording.

I just have a much less expensive and less fancy L4CES.

That’s very nice. These are not mine but I look after them. I look after quite a few serious collectors instruments that contain some very interesting pieces.
