Floyd Rose for Dummies question

My Jackson Soloist came with a Jackson “Licensed by Floyd Rose” Special. Staying in tune after trem whankery is not in it’s wheelhouse.

Got a nice deal on a basically brand new Gotoh 1996t today and snatched it up.

Once installed, I realized it has a 43mm block and the Special had a 32mm block. Needless to say there are clearance issues with the back cover.

Is it worth it to buy a TB33 block or should I just swap the 32mm one off the Special?

I’d say this is a question for @Eagle. If it were me, I’d probably just Dremel or leave the back cover off.

The one on the special won’t fit.
I would just buy the short Gotoh one. Shortening the existing one would not really work because the spring holes are not vertical

New block showed up late yesterday. Just got it swapped over. Big difference. Thanks @Eagle and @norminal !
