Oeps…does this do what u use ableton for?I'll tell you exactly why. Because I just whipped out my credit card and upgraded my license for Ableton Live last night, that's why.

I think it's more a case of forums being for old people. There are quite a few kids at my son's school that play. He himself plays mostly bass, but also a bit of guitar. The future isn't entirely lost!
Would it really make sense to either A) Give away Tonemaster Pro algorithms for use on any platform for nothing for perpetuity or B) Create yet another platform of models that need updating/development in parallel with what are almost certainly constrained resources trying to add features to the TMP every 6 months?

Seriously, though, no idea. Probably not? Probably better in some ways and lesser in others? With a learning curve to incentivize sticking with what I know (as with anything else.)

Eventually, sure. Only makes sense to squeeze all of the juice they possibly can out of this stuff.

As is the case with the TMP, we are not the target audience for this product. But credit where due, Fender is leading the way in providing an easy and mostly painless path into the world of digital for people who otherwise would never have taken the first step. And they even have their own YouTube personality to show people what power switches and volume knobs do.

This is definitely a toy/scratchpad for anyone with any sort of DAW experience.

It’s the modern equivalent of a cassette four track recorder, and there’s nothing wrong with that because a lot of us got our start that way all those years ago.

For me, I’d be looking to let go of my logic on iPad if it had midi and some instruments, for now, a no go.
But
If your looking for a headphone solutions, play along with backingtracks, and record to those…seems like a nice solution to me.
Studio one has the tech to seperate stems from stereo tracks, so I think they are gonna be able to come up with a nice selection of backing tracks.

Why don't you just use Garage Band? I mean, it's several times more capable than this here and fully compatible to the desktop version of Logic.

For sure, definitely a tool with uses. I’ve seen a few discussions around the internet complaining about the lack of VST support and it’s just not that tool.
