Fender Player Series II Modified

I gave them a shot in a local shop here in Dallas, I tried about 5 of them - the setup is spotty, some with high action others decent. I should have brought my fret rocker to check for issues but overall they seem to play great tough I preferred the maple fretboard versions.

I can get them at 15% discount from fender so I'm considering getting one of these.

Great value with good fundamentals. Sometimes they need a few things doing but you get a lot for the money.

Yeah the fundamentals seemed good in the 5 variations I tried with a preference to the maple fretboards.

Yeah, like another $100-$150 in side files, setup, and fret leveling.

Not in my experience. But a bit of work or get something for the same price that needs all new electrics . You and a couple of guys here seem to be banished to all the B Stock.
