Fast, Tight, Dry Amps, What You Got?

Haha! 1st Floor, Please!

I am not keeping it. Just have to find a way to get it sent back---either an
all day epic drive to the nearest retailer, which is not near, or shipping and
then waiting a week or more on a refund.

For now, I play. :love

I still really want a Fireball 25. I've tried several times over the years to trade for one, but no luck so far. Everyone I know who has played a lot of Engls always enjoys the Savage and the Fireball 100/25. The rest seem a hit or miss.

I see that the Fireball 25 comes with 6L6s, too. Meanwhile, the Ironball 25 says it comes with EL84s. :idk

I have been known to be a bad influence. Right @deadpool_25 ? :rofl

This is awesome. Thank you. :cheers

I am going to assume the EQ/No EQ doesn't matter to the iteration or circuit?? :idk
Correct. It is just icing on the cake and not essential to the tone (whereas it is essential on a Mesa Mark series amp). I've even seen some people in the Fryette Facebook group claim that the no EQ models sound slightly better than the ones with the EQ. I believe it is placed post effects loop. It is very powerful and the frequency bands were tuned by Steve Fryette to accentuate specific key ranges in a guitar tone. It is intended that it be used for small cuts and boosts. If you see someone dial a Mesa style V shape it is a dead giveaway that the person is a noob. I use the EQ on my GP3 as a lead boost.

Shots fired!! Shots fired!!!

On mine I did do a slight cut on the the 600 whatever band, and slight boosts on the lowest and highest frequencies, but certainly not anywhere close to the plunges and ascensions I would do on a mark. More of a barely moving wiggly worm than a deep V

How does the Valvulator/GPDI compare to the amps, @OrganicZed ? Is it just one of the preamps
from one of the amps, and then built around that?

Thanks. :beer

It has three modes: Pitbull, Deliverance, and Clean. The Pitbull mode is my favorite and it is designed to sound similar to the 50 CL. I really like the GP/DI. It is a very dynamic little amplifier that is awesome for bedroom jamming and recording. If you pair it with a power amp (like the Power Station or the effects return of another amp) it becomes a nicely featured single channel amp. You can snag them for around $650 on the used market. The new version (GP/DI IR) that was just released has quite a few new features and is supposed to have better transformers for an even more dynamic playing experience. The new one is retailing for just under $1k.
