Everyone is fast to take the piss out of me but not one of you has addressed the fact that Andertons have listed a pedal for sale from Tuesday last week that they don’t have in stock.
It’s still listed for sale now .
Its wrong by trading standerds in the UK

It is exactly the same product. Just because YOU have some bizarre desire to own the lower value new trade dress does not mean that Andertons was falsely advertising the product. Check the part numbers, I bet they are the same. If so, you have no real complaint.

It’s the same pedal. The paint has changed slightly. I don’t know a whole lot about UK laws, but from a practical standpoint point there is a significant difference between “these are pictures of the actual pedal you are buying” and “these are pictures of an example of the pedal we will ship you.” It’s not at all uncommon for the latter to be subject to specification changes. Indeed, often this specification change happen only under the hood so that the buyer never knows (wasn’t there a slight change in the Kemper somewhere along the way?). The odd thing is it seems you are totally okay with changes under the hood, but god forbid the seller of your knock-off misrepresent exactly how the thing you are buying is falsely presenting itself to the world.

If you want trading standards in the UK to look at Behringturd you'd be better pointing out that they're advertising a pedal with germanium clipping diodes but are selling a pedal with silicon workalikes.

These are not glass germanium, they're IN60P silicon diodes. Also they're not soldered very well, soldering like that is why cheap pedals will suddenly die and are often bad value.

Subtle variations of an identically functional product are normal and allowed. If that bothers you, but not Behringturds illegal and unethical use of trade dress, and their dishonesty about what’s inside, and their poor quality construction, I am not sure what to say.

You are dealing with one of the most unethical bottom feeding dishonest manufacturering companies in the world and you are worried about the printing on the box? Anyone who choses to buy Behringturd should know upfront what they are dealing with. But it’s not their fault or yours? It’s Andertons? Really?
