Ok enough smack talking now. It's time for Bobstradamus to make his pick for todays Eagles vs. Patriots game.
Their last regular season meeting the Patriots won 35-0 but it won't be close to that this time. The Patriots have a punchers chance with new offensive coaches and a few new weapons to use. Patriots have struggled dealing with mobile QB's like Hurts but look for them to try and contain him using one of their fast LB's.
On the offensive side for the Pats, the Eagles tend to give up short ground yardage easily and tend to smother and fill with their LB's but 5-6 YPC can be obtained by the beast Stevenson on 1st and 2nd down. Eagles don't blitz much (22% in 2022) so short yardage should be there all day for Mac Jones and the RB's.
This game will be decided by the Patriots Defense and their O-line though. If the D get to Hurts and rattle him and/or cause some coverage sacks, plus O-line giving Mac enough time to hit those quick in-cuts, the Pats can win. if Hurts is allowed to pick them apart though they have no chance. Mac Jones isn't a shootout type of QB he's a game manager.
