German is a complicated language. 😂

But honestly, in German it's really "die Helix" if you're referring to the biological term - whereas I do indeed speak of my Helix Floor as "das Helix" (a thing, no gender) because it's also "das Effektgerät" (the effects unit) and/or "das Effektpedal".

Doesn't even need the manual. Frontpage of the german Helix page starts with "Der Helix® Floor nutzt die Dual-SHARC®-Technologie und das HX® Modeling,"

Which is what I likely took it from, so I used it for a while. Biologically it's obviously female and while I try to be as correct and balanced as possible (hrrhrr...), I try to use "das" (hence neuter).

Doing well. Halloween parties were a blast (both YGG's and ours), Songs of a Lost World is the best Cure record since Wish, and we're heading out to Kauai on Saturday.
