The Clapton signature Stratocaster with Vintsge Noiceless stacked Humbuckers has 100 Db boost ( 93 Db boodt without the midboost ). I bought it from Fender directly and wondered why it was so incredibly loud from the start then insanely loud as you turned up the whole knob step by step. I took it to a guitar tech. He checked it and found a non linear active cuircuit. A non linear active cuircuit has no voltage limits at all. Inside it had 4 cascaded transistors. 3 2N6429 transistors cascaded where where 2 were a Darlington couple. The 4th cascaded transistor funcioned like active load the 2N5087. There were 20 powerful resistors setting an extremely hot signal starting from the first cascaded transistor becoming s lot hotter with the Darlington couple and then even more hit with the active load. 14 condensors save energy so that the transistors can work with incredibly much more voltage than they are specified to do. The condensors also help with the incredible voltage boost to 15 000 volt in signal strength. This is an extreme work of art in an nonlinear active cuircuit as a few friends that work in the University with electronics has told me and the reason it works is because the ampere is not high. Though The 15000 volt signal in the Clean channel ( you can off course not play it in the distorted Channel well you can but the distorted channel to protect itself from the incredibly hot signal Will take all decibels away and it Will be as loud as a normal guitar ) I have found to be too hot to play for longer than 15-20 seconds it sounds very strange and I am afraid it Will brake and I have a powerful amp. The guitar has negative feed back but that does not stop it from going to 120 decibels with master bolume on 1 out of 10 and volume at 0,7 out of 10. Normal guitars does not have a chance to get volume at all at those setting the need much more help from the amp. At very low settings like master at 0,5 it gets an extreme distortion in the Clean channel. But remember 100 Db boost is 1 024 times louder than a real Stratocsster and 93 Db boost is 750 times louder than a real Stratocsster so be very careful with your ears.

Good grief. You don’t have even the slightest clue about what you are talking about. It’s a 12 db clean boost and up to 24 or so with the midboost. If you are measuring 30db or more you have a measurement problem. If you are measuring 100 db, you don’t understand how to measure or even what a db is.
