Are these indeed as shitty as all the clips I’ve heard?

Someone is offering me an 80’s JCM800 4x12 but it has these in it. I did hear a couple good clips, but they were in their own context and not in a comparison setting. Next to basically any other speaker they don’t fair so well, but I’d like opinions!

i see these hated everywhere, i have a randall 4x12 with them and that cab in the room at least certainly isnt terrible, ive not played it in a while though so maybe its time to do some clips with it.

Usable but pretty mid

I had a 4x12 Rivera that had them (after market, cab was like 240 at music go round). I gigged it several times and they’re fine but I’d plan on replacing them soon if you got it

EVH cab with the h30s sounds infinitely better
