Bogner Ecstasy 104BV

Damn, Reza's video sounds good!

I had real gas for a minute, until I dialed in the same tone using the Recto Modern Orange channel on the modeler.

I am sure that thing sounds glorious in person, but I think I'll keep my 5 grand and play a model of it! View attachment 55252
I was watching the Nielsen video and thinking “man this thing sounds great and has a great range of tones.” And then I was thinking, “yeah but so does this little Badlander 25 and I don’t feel like it’s missing any tones either. Especially if I add a drive pedal or two.”

Nope, you definitely need a 104bv.

Prices are ridiculous for boutique amps, but the two times I have dipped my toes into those waters (Uber Ultra and SLO) I’ve ended up loving the amps.

Sometimes you gotta say…

Not gonna lie ... I'd murder my entire family with an Axe, at the bidding of spooky ghosts, in a wintery hotel up in the hills, to be able to buy one of these.

Become a subcontractor for other people. That way you get to keep your family, vent some stress, provide a valuable service to others AND get the amp. There's a lot of win right there, you know it makes sense.

As expected with the @BigHairyGuitars demo, I love it. Sounds enough like a 101B with those "Modern" switches disengaged to my ears. Not really a fan of the sound when they're on, but I will admit the new extras like Purple and 80s modes are very cool. Master volume on the front is an obvious improvement as well.

I wonder if this will make finding a used / cheaper 101B any easier?:rofl

I wonder. I think they'll go up in value over time and become more and more sought
after. And they are still pretty sought after.

Personally, I have chased a 101B for almost a decade and see them in $2500-$3000 range
fairly consistently. I'd need the 101B, because I just don't like modded Marshall tones with a
6L6 configuration. :idk
