Synergy Nerds, school me..

I actually did talk myself out of the Synergy stuff earlier when I priced it up, and realised the modules I would want, I already basically have the amps for. That then sent me on a quest to wonder about a Friedman amp, and maybe someone out there would want to part-ex my Axe3 against their Friedman, and then later on I would get an AM4 to fill the Fractal gap.
Well I kept talking myself out of it cause I knew I wasn't gonna stop at 2 modules.
Well I'm at 9, other preamps and amps and they do coexist nicely.

But if the new Pitbull woulda been out after NAMM I woulda just gotten that.

But not hating gear life.

Hahaha! So out of interest Ed, how often are you switching modules in and out, and how quickly is it done?

I'm lazy as can be so I switch less than others I'm guessing.
Id say once a week. Takes about 30 seconds.
Very much like pulling a drawer out and putting it back onto its rails and in.
I don't even secure the thumb screws.
It's simple enough, less fiddly than teenage sex.

Seriously though I try to keep them in while recording something so it doesn't turn into digi option overload.

As in a drummer I work with jokes about me sending 100s of tracks.
Actually it's more like 2 dozen.

The SYN-2 is hideously overpriced for what it is IMO.

If you’re looking at it in isolation maybe, but the tradeoff is the modules are priced well. (And great value used, you can nab most of them for $200-250) At 1U and 4 channels, I think it ends up shaking out to be well worth the initial outlay. You’d be hard pressed to rack up all those tones individually for the same price.

On the Synergy FB page someone asked about the RV dates and they responded Julyish.
