Going from what we know, there will be amp models in there, especially in the future, that he doesn't base his core tone on. Arguably that's already true for the less flexible units he sells.
I doubt Blug spent years in development only to make a unit for himself and a few other guys. What would be the point? If anything, analog flexibility is a core selling point.
100-200 for the entire lifetime of the amp x? That seems bad imo. The market already knows the current products he sells, and this is supposed to be the peak for him.
It's not like amp x will sell like packs of maltesers, the guitar market being quite limited. But I would be very surprised if 100-200 sales means he's satisfied.
(Of course some times companies make products they know won't generate more than cash than they loose. But I don't know -- let's say -- why that would be the case here).
