Skipped through Leo Gibson's video. Just the same thing as all the others. Possibly an advantage that you can as well record vocals if you have a suitable set of headphones /w headset mic.
Otherwise, I would actually prefer it if all these things came with an input jack and a strap mounting option. Heck, there could be an additional "plug me in straight" adapter as well. Not only that I have zero trust in the longevity of those foldable plugs, with a stock input you could as well just place them anywhere. I really don't want to drag my laptop off the table just because the damn thing is connected via USB with me forgetting about it for a while.

Came to post basically the same thing. Would have made more sense not to have the foldable plug. It's an accident waiting to happen, and I wouldn't trust the sturdiness over time. Other than that, it could be a useful tool like 1000s of other ones we already have. :grin

Absolutely. Sure, you can use an adapter cable for this but it would make way more sense to just have a jack and cable instead of these complicated turning plug systems.

I have to say, from all demos floating around i think i like the amp tones on the Bean much better than other plug-in solutions (Boss, NUX, Fender, etc.)

The foldable plug is for convenience. These aren't high end modelers. I have the NUX MP3. It is a fun and decent sounding headphone amp. It doesn't compare to my floor modeler but it only cost ~$100. These units are a niche product. Easy to carry, no extra cable necessary, just plug it in and play.

Well, the good thing with this one here (and comparable things) is that you can charge it via USB and have BT audio to jam along with your phone.
True. But you can jam along with the phone via USB-C too. Granted, one extra cable.

I will say all of these plug-in jack style versions are a bit nostalgic; one of the VERY first things my parents bought me as a kid was a "PocketRocket G2", which was an analog version of these (wise decision by them).
