Big (and small) old kitties.

My newest rescue is doing great.

My best old buddy Edward Scissorhands, RIP:

I could do this all day (but I'll try to show some restraint.)

My previous cat was black, short-hair, with that little white bow-tie lots of them have. Had him from a kitten and he'd head-bump me, raising up on his hind legs any time I leaned down. Such a cool dude. Had him for 17 years. Had to feed him a special food b/c he had kidney issues that eventually killed him. I was a wreck for weeks!

Couldn't decide between :love and . When Big Ed (above) finally passed away it damn near killed me. For some reason, the vet that euthanized him didn't give me a box or anything. Just put him back in the cat carrier and sent me on my way. I'll never forget standing in the pouring rain burying the poor guy. It was like a scene out of Pet Cemetery or something.

A couple of weeks later we took our daughter (she was 5 or 6 at the time) to Disney World, where everyone's favorite ice-breaker is, "So, do you have any pets?" Cringe. :(

Years ago I thought we had a big cat. Frankenstein was a big fat white cat. Then my girlfriend got a Bengal....only half of him would fit in the covered litter box and he sounded like a grown man taking a dump. Talk about a cool breed of cat.

I love Bengals. (Saw some on page 1, if I'm not mistaken?) If I live long enough to get "another round" of cats, that's probably what I'll go for. Despite my predilection for Siamese/ Burmese, or anything black.

We also have a ton of bobcats (all of them named, "Bob") living in my back yard.

Thread cleaned up. Animal harm videos are not cool. Go post that crap elsewhere. Despite the edgelord thread title; this is generally a thread about people's pets. So read the room.
I didn't watch the video and I've tried to stay out of the fray, but this seems like a good call to me.

As for that "edgelord thread title", I've been watching my parade of notifications featuring that text, and wondering what kind of alarm bells are going off at our IT department. :whistle

Just going to post these Devin Townsend lyrics and strongly advise that everyone reads them and figures out how to incorporate it into their time here, IDGAF what you do off this forum or how ya’ll want to talk to each other, but I’m not in the mood for bullsh*t today.

Cause when you feel the urge to feed reaction
Just follow your heart, the worst reaction is to
Freak out
So don't you
Freak out

You want them to see the world the same as you and
To feel the pain the same as you
But everybody in the world's different point of view
Could never see the world the same

So when you see the Earth the sane reaction
To follow your heart, the worst reaction is to
Freak out
So don't you
Freak out

So if you feel the world's insane reaction
Just follow your heart, the words will work out as they
Freak out
But we're free to close the door

The last few pages are exactly that, feeding reactions and picking at each other until the inevitability of someone freaking out occurs. Go find a political forum or some sh*t for that, not a f*cking cat thread on a f*cking guitar forum for Christ’s sake.

Probably my fave track on the new album.

Probably my fave track on the new album.

I’m starting to catch up on the 2nd half the first album, it gets a bit more dense as it goes along, but the first 5 songs are just major earworms I can’t get out of my head. This album has been playing nonstop in my truck and apartment.

Hahahah though, to be fair, when I was driving to work this morning, every time he said “Don’t freak out” I was like, “STFU DEV I’M NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE HERE TODAY!”
