I think you might be struggling with the difference betwee "Free (has no direct financial cost)" and "Free (AMERICA FUCK YEAH!!!)".

Although to be fair, the land of the free ain't all that free anyway.

Technically, the forum is truly no cost, as they don’t recoup money from us via ad dollars. Additionally, they strive to be as free (as in freedom) as possible, with some minor rules to keep the peace. So it fits both ways.
