Beato interviews Dweezil

I've always known the "pick scrape down the neck to a certain point, then slide with finger for the rest" Eduardo trick...

...but Dweezil is also doing the easily recognizable Eduardo "pick scrape up the neck to a certain point, then pick scrape back down, then slide with finger for the rest" trick. IIRC, "Sucker In A Three Piece" start off with it:

I'll be incorporating that technique; yes yes.

Cool interview. Dweezil has a lot of mental energy, and you can tell he's quite analytical in his thought process. Yet, he's still very humble and enjoys learning new things. I admire that about him. I remember listening to his solo record "Confessions" incessantly. He had a number of guest players on it, mostly Nuno, but others like Zakk, DeMartini, Lukather... a really fun album.

Listening to this again brings back a lot of memories. Yes, some corny lyrics in a few songs :rofl, but the music is all great imo.

I was working in a Music/Record Store when that Album dropped. We blasted the F**k out of it! :rawk

What a shame that family became post-Frank. Not even a personality that strong could hold
a family together post-mortem. :(

I recall his Brother Ahmet singing a song or two on the Album as well.
Yeah, think 1 song he does. Of course most are Dweezil and Nuno.

Yeah, sad. I haven't kept up much on the latest though. Wasn't sure they're still on bad terms?
