On here?
It’s probably my most used / loved amplifier head over the last 15 months since I’ve had it and it’s matching 2 X 12” cabinet.👌

Always been curious about t the originals and these RIs. Since it’s more or less a tweed bassman circuit I imagine it would be a monster pedal amp.

Semi related but I still kinda want one of the Red Bear 800 style amps from the 90s. A local shop had one I got to play. Really liked it but I was 14 then so my ears would probably hear it differently now.

Isn’t that the old Sovtec amps? Never played one but remember watching Damon Johnson play through one when he was in Brother Cane in the 90s and it sounded good.

Yes it’s the updated version with better fixtures and fittings than the Russian built versions 👍
Yeah, I vaguely remember the Sovteks from the '90s and I think I remember the Electro Harmonix version too. I had a bandmate that played through a half stack Sovtek head and Sovtek 4"×12" cabinet. I think it was a 50 watter. I played through it a couple times and it sounded awesome to my ears from what I can remember. I wanted a Sovtek half stack too but I couln't afford it back then, so I had to settle for on a those gigantic metal boxed Sovtek Big Muff Pi pedals. Wish I still had it.

I almost snagged one of the new MIG50 heads back when they were still like $600 a few years back. I liked the original Russian amps and I think these new ones might sound a little better.

I like what it’s doing on channel II a couple minutes into the video. The cheap switches/components are a huge turnoff though.
