Same for me, just with a different conclusion: The fireball sounds as muffly as I remember. It just doesn't fit my style of music with its bass heavy tone. Whenever I played it, I was never able to clean up the low end and make it as tight as I need. The Savage is right up my alley. But still, if you look at my profiles, I often scooped the bass and pushed mids & highs a lot.Seems like I’m right on the money for my tastes with the Fireball. I do like the Blackmoore/Savage rawness but I don’t think I can really pull it off with my playing. All captures I’ve tried has made me go back to the FB in some way and now I’m starting to see why. Having a PB mk2 with four channels is still very enticing but I’d need at least a 2x12 which I can’t find room for in my current living situation.
