Ace is dying

A true icon and legend!

Damn, RIP.

I'd have to think Ace is pretty damn close to EVH and Hendrix in the context of getting people to pick up their first guitar.
Ace is the guitar hero between Jimi and Eddie in terms of timeline. A lot of people try to ignore that. Hell, Guitar Player magazine was so foolish that they claimed Ace never tapped in an article after Eddie's passing. He tapped prior to Eddie, but only did it live.

Even though I didn't attend (my parent;s thought I was too young at 11 to go to a rock concert with a friend's older brother and his pals, lol) Kiss and Rush played at the Rockford Armory in Nov of 1975 and the influence on those a half generation older than me eventually trickled down to me and began my drift into having interest in harder rock music and electric guitar. I've spent a lot more time listening to Rush over the years but Kiss of that era is also part of the stew and I'm very much saddened by this news. RIP, Ace.
