I always talk about how we used to say the guys you had to watch out for are the older guys who show up with a Tele and an old Peavy amp; they’re the guys who can PLAY.

I think Scotty Anderson might be the epitome of that!

These are the most insane “mind-blown-how-is-that-even-possible” double stops I’ve ever heard!! :rawk

Oh man..... do we all grow into that guy? I sure fucking hope so.
:banana

Literally just sourced a new Bridge PU for my Rosewood board Tele that was not
"bitey" enough. Chops are harder to source online.

Scotty is a beast for sure.
Danny too of course:

That Austin City Limits he did in the 1980s when I was a wee lad blew my Metal-Loving Mind back in the day.

It still does. There was/is no one like him. I don't even think there is a close second that can approximate
his dexterity and vast array of licks and styles. Arguably the best Tele-wielder of all-time.

Yeah the ACL show is great. Think the first time I saw it, had to be 1992, was with my dad cause he knew I was just getting into guitar. I had no idea who he was but it definitely left an impression on me. I distinctly remember the song where he busted out the rag unto the fretboard and started playing. :love We were both like, "what kind of trickery is this?!":ROFLMAO: I kind of wish I woodshedded that style more back then but was knee deep into Satch, Vai and Hendrix... which ain't bad either of course.

So iconic. :chef

"I spilt beer all over my fretboard playing slide with a bottle of beer that was just opened, now watch
me clean it all up. "
