Found this interesting...20 or so guitarists, YouTube gear guys in this video. Great to see the EVH chosen quite frequently. Thought for sure the Marshalls would hold the crown.

At one point I would have said 2203, but I’m firmly in the Dual Rectifier camp now.

Sometimes I feel like the Uberschall deserves to be there, and the Peavey 5150 is no slouch. I just don’t think anything tops the Recto for me.

If I'm being honest probably a tweed bassman, or bf bassman, or super reverb... or a Hiwatt DR504. With pedals.

Haven't watched the vid but if I were to only boil it down to 1 amp, it'd probably be a Mesa Mark VII.

Are we choosing from the amps we currently own, or could it be something we don’t own but would still choose for this purpose?

I really like this Anderson guitar --

I don’t own the real deal, but based on my virtual experiences with it, it’s probably a Revv Generator - full fat, with both Red and Purple channels.

If it has to be an amp we own / have owned, then a 5153 50W Stealth.

Boomers = ????

Gen Xers = ????

Millenials = ????

Gen Zers = ????

The question is just a litmus test for the age of the respondent.

:rofl

I am not a Boomer either..... but I can pass for one in public.
:LOL:

My Cameron Mig 100 and iic+ id say are my best sounding amps, but one amp to cover everything id pick my TripleG. My 5153 EL34 50w with the C137 mod would do as well.

My MI Audio Megalith Gamma, no question. Was between my Gen 3 Armored Sabot and Bogner 101b for years, but the Gamma sent both packing.
