okay, so im not a pedal guy really. i use either boosts in front of a smaller amp to blow it up, or ill use a dirt pedal into something clean. regardless- i dont use any time based fx really ever. so i figured id try to have a small lifesaver rig for dirt and verb on a four space mini board with a tuner.
so... i tried to set it up initially with three pedals. a tuner, a bogner lagrange (which has a big voltage swing internally so its nice and dynamic), and a bogner wessex, which id leave on all the time to sorta add some squidge and chime. verb comes later.
well. the wessex and the lagrange interact funny. neither is noisy by itself- but together it buzzes. so i shut it off. better. then i took it outa the chain entirely. it interacts way differently with front side of the amp in a better way. livelier, and i can turn the gain down- turn amp mids up, and end up in a better place altogether.
so... impedance difference? whats goin on?
so i ALSO tried to put a tc HOF after it as well. BAD. absolutely killed amp response- even off.
am i absolutely smoking crack here?
what im thinkin is that, despite me running the lagrange into a solid state amp- its still interacting like a boost and it wants to be boss and the ONLY thing in front if i want it to feel right. so my plans for adding a verb on a miniature board kinda seems to put it on four cable by necessity.
is this me being too fussy or is this a thing?
