Why Is There No Vitriol For TC Electronic Pedals ?

A mate and I were discussing this the other day, and how that Tor fella (or whatever his name is) seems to have taken a similar naming convention over to UA for their pedals. I know that's a strange thing to say, but it feels like he's played a big part in that TC series and the recent UA output and there are similarities to be had between the odd names they give their pedals...though that means nothing really, I'm sure there's a stark difference in quality, no doubt. But to my mind, it does cheapen the branding of both companies. "Thundercunt Flanger" and "Knuckles", really?

What's kind of sad to me is that these companies, once known for exceptional level quality, now put out less serious, inexpensive gear for the masses. Once upon a time, you had to save like fuck or be a musician on studio money to be able to afford a 2290. I'm not saying that affordability is a bad thing, I'm simply saying that the standards have dropped.

(No offence to the poster above, I'm glad you like your flanger! :-))

I looked around for one of these but it was out stock everywhere at the time. Price was good and I am betting it sounds good.

I have no clue how they make any money from that pedal at $30. Somehow the price has gone down on it. I got mine a couple years ago new for $40. :ROFLMAO: It’s really good too. lol

Years ago I bought a Nova Reverb and Nova Delay like the ones below to use with my Sig:X.

Both worked fine.

I had the Nova Drive for a while. Pretty cool tones, and even had midi control, but overall it was a bit noisy at times. I ended up selling it though.

I’m pretty sure, Dave, that if you post as many posts about buying TC pedals as you do about your Behringturd pedals, you will provoke quite a bit of vitriol.

For me, after the acquisition, TC is on the same list as Behringturd: products I try to avoid buying.

Posting here because the SCF Gold came onto my radar in my search for the right chorus pedal. I forgot TC is now owned by behringturd. The SCF is only 80 bucks now which seems like a great deal, until I remember it’s a behringturd product. What is the consensus on this pedal, is it worth it? Anywhere close to as good as the original?

In stereo it's great. I wouldn't bother in mono.

The 2290P is cool (and looks cool) but the Fractal VP4 can do everything it can do, more intuitively, and sounds better IMO.
